10 Pallet Projects Perfect for Any Outdoor Area or Farm

                                                                      source

Pssst. May I share something with you about living in the country that nobody will tell you?

It's something important and can make a big impact in deciding whether or not you want to move to the country.

It can be expensive to get it all set up. Yep. There you have it in a nutshell....living in the country and getting a farm set up can initially be very expensive.

Even once you think you have most of it done something else needs to get done so I am constantly looking for new ways of doing things that will help make our lives more functional.

I have learned to rely heavily on recycled things at the farm to get it all done. Here I've put together a really fun and functional list of things you can do with pallets that are relatively easy to make.

Something you do need to consider though is that the screws do cost some serious dough now so remember that.

Need furniture? Why not make your own wardrobe out of pallets? Some screws, a saw and some handles and voila.

Compost Bin DIY: Quick Pallet Project for a Pallet Garden Composter from the folks at http://diyready.com:

                       source

Need a place for compost? Just screw a few of these together. I did mine several years ago but I just did a three sided bin. It's much easier to flip the compost that way.

How To Build A Goat Barn From Recycled Pallets http://theownerbuildernetwork.co/zyqk Looking for ideas on how to make a small and low cost barn? Then this project is for you!:

                                source

Now I fell in love with this pallet barn. If I could get my hands on enough of them I think this could be in our future.

Complete pallet pavillon built with europallets.Really beautiful work ! not for beginners ! Idea sent by yves Cummings !:

Isn't this gazebo so cute? I mean it would take some time to fit it all together correctly and probably some extra wood pieces and $100 in screws but totally worth it.

Don't have a place to store your firewood? Here you go.

Pallets + logs = teepee for a playground | 1001 Pallets:

Now this is so much fun for kids. A pallet teepee. So much cheaper than a store bought one and probably will hold up better than one we can buy in the store.

DIY pallet arch could paint and plant around it outdoor for prop -- or maybe put a bench in it? or swing? Looks like it is made from five pallets.:

        source

This pallet arch really caught my eye. The only thing I worry about where I'm at in Oklahoma is the wind. I would have to stabilize it somehow. Maybe rebar? Isn't it cute? You could train some vines to grow over it.

outdoor shower. + graywater retrieval for plant watering and it would be the best thing ever in this dang drought.:
       source

I have longed dreamed of an outdoor shower. Sometimes I hook the hose to a branch on a tree and stand under it but we are getting more traffic around us and too many gawkers so it may be time to actually build an outdoor shower. Yes I rinse off with my clothes on lol. With a few deck blocks and some recycled wood you could make your own outdoor shower.

There you have it. Simple, affordable and really could be used just about anywhere.

What is your favorite thing you have ever made with pallets or have you ever built anything with pallets?

I'd love to hear.

  15. I've never built anything with pallets. If I didn't live in the middle of the city, I'd be tempted to give that gazebo a try and grow climbing plants on it. I live in a university city and students make all sorts of furniture out of pallets, which is actually a pretty cool budget solution for furnishing a short-term rental.

  17. There is a place where I love that freely gives away their pallets. I've seen some pretty awesome project created from them, but nothing quite like the gazebo or teepee. My 6yo would love the teepee and I could spend hours in that gazebo!

  35. Wow i like the designs of your choice! I remember my Dad used to collect scrap woods and make something like this. And he planted a vine and grows beautifully. But instead of flowers, he planted a small breed of pumpkin :) i lovr your ideas!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I've used this method before with cucumbers and squash and it works really well. Pumpkins need extra support so that they don't rip off the vine when they get too heavy but you can just use some old clothes or fabric scraps to "swaddle" them for extra support. Good luck, I'm eager to see your results.https://babyishcare.com/teepee-tent-kids/
