2015 Projects In the Making

Happy Monday to you. It's been a cold wet weekend here at the farm and we are still fighting the end of the flu bug and sinus infections. We are ready to feel better and get stuff done. This morning I had enough of being sick I got up, got the hubby off to work, started a load of laundry and have hatched a plan to get organized and turn this farm into our home. I'm ready to live in our country cottage home on our farm.

Every home needs hand me downs and this is my grandpa's rolling kitchen island. He gave it to my mom who gave it to me and now it's going to be in my kitchen. It needs a makeover so I'm going to give it one.

Our well house needs to get finished, painted, and much pizzazz added. You see it right after you pull onto our farm so I'd like it to be cute as it can be or as cute as a well house that I'll ever see, wink.

There will be lots of door painting, bright white to be exact. What shows a home is loved and cared for better than some bright white cottagey doors.

Gardening there will be lots of gardening. Fruits, veggies, flowers, fruit bushes, fruit and nut trees all need to be planted as far as your eyes can see.

A fun life sized chalkboard. There will be lots of drawing and playing on our new life-sized chalkboard.

Pretty bathrooms- I have 2 bathrooms that need to come alive with color and function.

The goats are getting a homemade playground.

The kitchen is getting a complete overhaul. The cabinets have been delivered now it's time to make it pretty with beauty and function.

I'm getting a slim down - a big one. It's time to conquer this weight battle once and for all. Healthy lifestyle changes are in the works.

And if all goes well a new baby. This is our year for a baby.

2015 is the year of hope for our family. We hope to get these and many other projects done all while loving and enjoying our life at the farm.

How about you. What do you have planned for 2015? I'd love to hear what you are doing?

  1. Hi Valarie, I hope all your plans come true, especially the baby. You would be a wonderful mommy to a sweet babe.
Your certainly have a good start on your farm and cottage.

Our plans for 2015 are to pay off our onlh debt, a second mortgage, so husband can retire. Physically he really needs to and so far, we have made a lot of progress with extra payments,

  4. Oh girl, your goals sound a lot like mine! Our baby is due next week; we are trying to finish our garage which will create a huge domino effect to finishing many other parts of the house; upgrading the chicken pen; and I'm also going to hit the weight loss after the baby comes. I'll be excited to keep up with your progress through it all. Maybe we can help encourage each other! I hope it's ok...my page is http://prudentlyfrugalhomestead.blogspot.com if you are interested in seeing my 2015 goals.
