How to Make Your Own $3 Gingerbread Garland
Happy December. Today I needed a craft to work on my step-mom's dexterity and to decorate her house. We weren't wanting to spend a lot of money so a trip to Dollar Tree was well worth it. We spent $2 on foam glittered gingerbread men and ornaments and $1 on twine.
1 hour later we had this adorable homemade gingerbread garland that we love ❤️.
Tools you need
2 packages of foam cut-outs
1 ball of string
1 whole punch
Scissors
Step stool
First, we decided what pattern we wanted. We opted to alternate gingerbread man then ornament.
Second, Take the first cut-out and punch two holes in it and put the end of the string through.
Third, Turn over the ornament and tie it so the string doesn't fall through.
Fourth, cut off the length of string you need for where you are making the garland for. For us, it was about 8 feet.
Fifth, punch a hole in the middle of your cut-out.
Sixth, fish the string through your cut-outs.
Seventh, take a piece of scotch tape and use it to temporarily hold each piece in place.
Eighth, stretch out the string making sure you have all the cut-outs on you need.
And last but not least hang your garland.
They turn out super cute and you can make any design you like. The sky is the limit.
It was a simple project that added a lot of punch without a big hit to the budget.

Have you started decorating?
Hugs from Oklahoma,
🍒 Valerie
